Chicago Climate Action Plan

Gavin co-developed the 2022 Chicago Climate Action Plan. The plan, the first update since 2008, represents a bold and just vision for a decarbonized city, including a 62% emissions reduction goal by 2040. Gavin created content for the plan and facilitated internal engagement and alignment processes for city department staff. This integrated approach allowed the Mayor's Office Climate and Environmental Equity Team to meaningfully embed climate action at the departmental level, ensuring a greater chance of meeting the aggressive decarbonization goal.
